The Opportunity

This is far more than managing a spa.

As our Spa Manager, you'll be responsible for leading every aspect of the business—from sales performance and profitability to customer experience, operations and team culture. You'll also oversee our state-of-the-art Reformer Pilates studio, ensuring a seamless, premium experience across both wellness and fitness offerings while creating a destination our members love to visit.

You'll build and inspire a high-performing team, drive membership growth, create exceptional client experiences and ensure the spa operates to the premium standards Merse Wellness Spa is known for. The role is responsible for leading the spa's overall performance, profitability, culture and operations while delivering exceptional client experiences and commercial outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the overall performance of the spa, driving revenue growth, profitability, membership sales and retention.
• Recruit, coach and develop a high-performing team while fostering an exceptional culture of accountability and customer service.
• Oversee the day-to-day operations and performance of both the Merse Wellness Spa and the on-site Reformer Pilates studio, ensuring exceptional member experiences, operational excellence and strong commercial outcomes across both offerings.
• Deliver an outstanding end-to-end client experience while managing escalated enquiries and driving long-term member retention.
• Develop local business partnerships, community engagement initiatives and marketing activities to generate new business.
• Monitor KPIs, analyse performance data and implement strategies that continuously improve commercial outcomes and operational efficiency. 

What You'll Need to Succeed

• Previous management experience within a spa, wellness centre, health club or premium hospitality environment.
• Proven success leading teams and achieving sales, membership and operational KPIs.
• Strong commercial acumen with the ability to grow revenue while delivering an exceptional customer experience.
• Outstanding leadership, coaching and communication skills with the ability to influence and motivate others.
• Highly organised, proactive and confident managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Current First Aid & CPR Certificate (or willingness to obtain) and Australian working rights.
