Are you motivated by sales, driven by targets and great at turning challenging conversations into positive outcomes?

Fitness Cartel Manukau is looking for a confident and customer-focused Sales and Retention Specialist to join our team. This is a full-time, in-club position with rostered shifts across Monday to Sunday.

Shift times are scheduled between 8:00 am and 7:00 pm, with different shift lengths and start and finish times depending on the roster. 

You’ll spend part of your day generating sales and converting new members, while also helping existing members stay connected to the club through proactive retention, account support and personalised service.

What You’ll Do

As a Sales and Retention Specialist, you’ll help grow the club while protecting the member relationships we’ve already built.

You’ll:

• Generate and convert membership sales through outbound calls, walk-ins, referrals, online enquiries, club tours and sales presentations.

• Meet daily and weekly call, appointment and membership targets while accurately tracking activity in the CRM.

• Manage cancellations, suspensions, freezes and failed-payment enquiries by identifying genuine solutions that retain members.

• Contact at-risk members and overdue accounts, conducting confident, empathetic conversations and negotiating appropriate outcomes.

• Deliver warm, professional customer service, resolve member enquiries and complaints, and follow up to ensure a positive experience.

• Identify retention trends, share insights with management and work collaboratively to achieve sales, retention, service and recovery KPIs.

Who You Are

• You have at least three years’ experience in sales, retention, collections, account management or customer service, with a proven record of achieving targets.

• Confident, persuasive communicator who can build rapport and handle sales, cancellations, complaints and overdue-payment conversations.

• Empathetic and solutions-focused, with the resilience to manage challenging conversations professionally.

• Organised, accurate and comfortable using CRM systems while managing a busy daily task list.

• Passionate about health and fitness, reliable, well-presented and proud to represent the Fitness Cartel brand.

• Available to work Monday to Sunday on a rotating roster, with shifts scheduled between 8:00 am and 7:00 pm, and hold or are willing to obtain First Aid and CPR certification.

Full New Zealand working rights are required. Fitness industry experience is highly regarded but not essential.
