Lead a Thriving Club with Fitness Cartel Sippy Downs

We’re looking for an experienced Club General Manager (CGM) to lead our established Sippy Downs club. You’ll build on the club’s foundations, inspire a high-performing team and create an exceptional experience for members and the local community.

The Role

As Club General Manager, you’ll be responsible for the club’s performance, operations and member experience. Working closely with our Executive Team, Regional Performance Managers and Directors, you’ll lead the team, strengthen club culture and identify opportunities for continued growth.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the club’s culture, performance and connection with the local community.
• Manage budgets, financials and retention strategies to support strong club performance.
• Oversee operations across all areas, including Crèche, Retail & Apparel and Café.
• Recruit, train and develop a high-performing team.
• Mentor and motivate department heads through regular meetings and ongoing coaching.
• Ensure our facilities are maintained to a high standard.
• Lead club events and initiatives, including Open Days and 8-Week Challenges, to build energy and member engagement.
• Deliver clear reporting, analysis and communication to drive continuous improvement.

What You’ll Bring

• Proven leadership experience in a large “Big Box” gym, ideally with 20+ staff and 2,000+ members.
• Experience in a KPI-driven environment and a drive to exceed targets.
• A people-first approach and the ability to connect with members and inspire staff.
• A growth mindset, strong sales skills and a genuine passion for health and fitness.
• A solution-focused attitude, with resilience and adaptability.
• Excellent communication skills, professionalism and the ability to lead by example.
• Strong computer literacy and the ability to learn new systems quickly.
• Current First Aid and CPR certificates, or a willingness to obtain them.
• Full Australian working rights.
