The Role
Ready to join a fun, supportive and fast-paced team?
We're looking for a full-time Account Care Specialist to join our growing Account Care Team at the Fitness Cartel Support Office in Virginia.
This role is ideal for someone who thrives on balancing exceptional customer service with strong commercial outcomes. You'll take ownership of overdue member accounts, work with members to resolve outstanding balances, negotiate payment arrangements and help members get back on track with their fitness journey.
Supporting clubs across our network, you'll play an important role in reducing outstanding debt, maintaining account accuracy and delivering positive outcomes for both our members and the business.
Key Responsibilities
- Proactively manage overdue member accounts and recover outstanding balances through phone, email and SMS communication.
- Contact members to negotiate suitable repayment arrangements while maintaining positive member relationships.
- Resolve billing enquiries, payment disputes, membership adjustments and account variations accurately and efficiently.
- Liaise with billing providers and external collection agencies to achieve positive debt recovery outcomes.
- Encourage members to re-engage with their memberships and return to the club where appropriate.
- Maintain accurate records and ensure all account activity complies with company policies and procedures.
- Achieve individual KPIs relating to debt recovery, account management, productivity and member experience.
- Identify opportunities to improve debt recovery processes and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
About You
- Previous experience in debt collection, accounts receivable, credit control, collections, account management or a high-volume KPI-driven call centre environment.
- Confident handling difficult conversations while remaining empathetic, professional and solutions-focused.
- Strong negotiation and objection-handling skills with the ability to achieve positive commercial outcomes.
- Highly organised with excellent attention to detail and the ability to manage competing priorities.
- Comfortable working towards recovery, productivity and service KPIs.
- Strong computer literacy with the ability to quickly learn new systems and maintain accurate records.
- Current First Aid & CPR Certificate (or willingness to obtain) and Australian working rights.
