Now, we’re bringing the Cartel to Toowoomba – and we’re looking for an exceptional Club General Manager to lead the launch of this brand-new club.

The Role

This is a rare opportunity to lead a flagship club launch and build your own team from day one.

As Club General Manager, you’ll be the driving force behind the success of Fitness Cartel Toowoomba.

You’ll lead the club through pre-sales, launch, and ongoing growth, creating an environment where performance thrives, members feel inspired, and your team delivers an outstanding fitness experience every day.

Working closely with our Executive Team, Regional Performance Managers and Directors, you’ll have the autonomy and support to build a thriving club and strong local community.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the launch of our brand-new Toowoomba club, setting the tone for culture, energy and performance while executing the club’s pre-sale strategy to achieve membership targets.
• Recruit, train and inspire a high-performing founding team
• Create and lead a high-performance sales culture focused on accountability, results and strong team engagement
• Drive membership growth and community engagement through outreach, partnerships, referrals, B2B lead generation, and events such as open days and club challenges.
• Plan and manage marketing campaigns including social media, SMS, and email to generate leads and build brand awareness
• Monitor sales performance, retention, and financial outcomes, reporting results and insights to senior leadership
• Utilise internal systems including Clubware, Debit Success and Gym Sales to track leads, conversions and operational performance
• Support operational readiness for club opening, including procedures, systems and coordination with senior leadership
• Oversee key club operations and mentor department leaders, ensuring exceptional member experiences across all areas, including Crèche, Retail & Café

What You’ll Bring

• Proven leadership in a large “Big Box” gym environment (20+ staff, 2,000+ members)
• Experienced sales leader with a strong track record in KPI-driven environments, motivatedby targets and confident leading, mentoring and developing high-performing teams.
• People-focused leader with strong communication skills, able to build rapport, influence others and inspire teams by leading from the front
• Organised and solutions-focused professional with a growth mindset, strong systems skills and a passion for fitness and helping people achieve their goals
