Health, Safety & Wellbeing Manager | Virginia

Fitness Cartel Health Clubs is growing fast, with a vision to reach 60+ clubs by 2030. We’re looking for an experienced Health, Safety & Wellbeing Manager to lead safety strategy across our corporate locations and franchise network — building scalable systems that support growth, compliance, and a strong safety culture.

The Role

Reporting to the Chief People Officer, you will design and embed an integrated Safety & Wellbeing Management System covering:

• Workplace Health & Safety governance
• Psychosocial risk and wellbeing
• Contractor and franchise safety frameworks
• Incident management, audits, and compliance assurance
• Enterprise risk visibility and Executive reporting

This is a strategic, hands-on role suited to someone confident navigating shared PCBU environments and influencing across a national network.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop WHS governance frameworks and Board-level reporting
• Implement risk management and contractor compliance systems
• Standardise incident reporting, investigations, and corrective actions
• Lead psychosocial risk initiatives and wellbeing integration
• Deliver WHS capability uplift across leaders and franchise operators
• Drive continuous improvement and safety maturity across sites

About You

• Tertiary WHS qualification
• 7+ years’ OH&S experience in multi-site operations
• Strong knowledge of WHS legislation and shared PCBU obligations
• Proven experience building WHS systems, governance, and frameworks
• Confident influencing Executives and operational leaders
• Franchise or networked business experience is highly regarded.
